Known as the king of fruits, mangos are tropical fruits that belong to the same family as that of pistachios, gandaria, mombin, and cashews. Mangos are also known by other names like mangot, manga, and mangou, depending upon the region you are in. Ripe mangos have a sweet, floral taste. There are many varieties that also have a citrusy flavor. Beyond the luscious taste of mangos, there is an abundance of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that ensures optimum health.

Mango is very low in saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium. It is an excellent source of dietary fiber and vitamin B6, as well as a good source of vitamin A and vitamin C. 

Mangos are rich in iron, which makes them beneficial for people suffering from anemia.
