Usage and dosage

Collection and processing

After 3-4 years of growth, the tiller plants need longer time to harvest. Collect roots and rhizomes from late September to mid October or before sap flow in spring, remove soil, cut long sections of 30-40 cm, bundle them into small bundles after drying, or cut long sections of 5 cm, and store them in bags after drying.

Processing method

(1) drying. Spread in the sand during the day, collect piles and cover them at night, so as to prevent freezing due to large temperature difference between day and night. Cistanche deserticola has good color and high quality after sun drying.
(2) Salinization. Marinate Cistanche deserticola in salt for 1 ~ 3 years, or dig a pit of 50×50×120 cm in the ground and put it in a plastic bag with the same size and no water leakage. When the temperature drops to 0℃, put Cistanche deserticola in the bag, use the local unprocessed soil salt to prepare 40% brine for salting, and take it out and dry it in March of the second year, thus becoming Salty Dayun.
(3)cellar. Dig a pit below the critical line of frozen soil, bury fresh Cistanche deserticola in the cold weather, and take it out and dry it in the second year.

Store in a ventilated and dry place to prevent mildew and moth.
